I am fluent in French and a native-speaker of English. On the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CERF), I attained a C1, indicating an “autonomous” or “experienced” proficiency level. I have lived in three places in France, including Bordeaux, Normandy, and Martinique, for a total of a year and a half. I am in the process of obtaining the American Translators Association’s certification and plan to take the official exam in April 2025 when the test opens for the year.
